Morning
Quiet, with the wind off the cliffs. Coffee on a terrace facing open water, a few divers heading down to the beach club, the rest of the estate still asleep.
Afternoon
The pool, a book, a long lunch on the shaded side of the house. Some guests drive ten minutes to a proper beach; most don't move.
Sunset
The reason people stay here. The sun drops straight into the Caribbean from every terrace on the cliff. Karakter fills up. Drinks travel from the kitchen to the deck without anyone saying anything.
Evening
Dinner is at home more often than out. When you go out, it's Karakter on the headland, or you drive in to Willemstad for the night. Home to a silent estate and a sky full of stars.

Cas Abao
One of the island's most photographed beaches — soft white sand, turquoise water, a proper restaurant and loungers under sea-grape trees. Worth the drive at least once.

Two reefs you can swim to from the beach. Turtles in the early morning, parrotfish all day. Easy enough for kids.

Christoffel Park
Forty minutes north. The island's national park — trails, iguanas, a 375m peak you can hike before breakfast. A proper morning out.

Shete Boka
The wild north coast. Black volcanic rock, blowholes, surf hitting the cliffs. Forty-five minutes from Coral Estate, an hour well spent.

Sunset cruise from Spaanse Water
Twenty-five minutes east. Half-day sailing trips down the south coast — anchor, swim, dinner on board, home by dark.
